Global gene expression analysis of human fibroblasts from whole body
  • organism-icon Homo sapiens
  • sample-icon 59 Downloadable Samples
  • Technology Badge Icon Affymetrix Human Genome U133 Plus 2.0 Array (hgu133plus2)

Description

Fibroblasts are the principal stromal cells that exist in whole organs and play vital roles in many biological processes. Although the functional diversity of fibroblasts has been estimated, a comprehensive analysis of fibroblasts from the whole body has not been performed and their phenotypical diversity has not been sufficiently explored. The aim of this study was to elucidate the phenotypical diversity of human fibroblasts within the whole body.

Human Subperitoneal Fibroblasts and Cancer Cell Interaction Creates Microenvironment Enhancing Tumor Progression and Metastasis
  • organism-icon Homo sapiens
  • sample-icon 12 Downloadable Samples
  • Technology Badge Icon Affymetrix Human Genome U133 Plus 2.0 Array (hgu133plus2)

Description

Fibroblasts isolated from human colon submucosal and subperitoneal layer were stimulated by colon cancer cell line (DLD-1) cultured medium. Peritoneal invasion in colon cancer is an important prognostic factor, and the fibrosis with -SMA was a significant pathological feature of the cancer microenvironment formed by peritoneal invasion (CMPI).

Expression data from bovine conceptus during peri-implantation period
  • organism-icon Bos taurus
  • sample-icon 6 Downloadable Samples
  • Technology Badge Icon Affymetrix Bovine Genome Array (bovine)

Description

Conceptus implantation to the uterine endometrium is required for pregnancy establishment, during which non-invasive trophoblasts attach and adhere to the uterine endometrium or invasive trophoblasts invade into the uterine stroma, followed by placental formation in most mammalian species.

Publication Title

Down-regulation of transcription factor OVOL2 contributes to epithelial-mesenchymal transition in a noninvasive type of trophoblast implantation to the maternal endometrium.

Expression data from cultured human lung tissue-derived fibroblasts and human vascular adventitial fibroblasts
  • organism-icon Homo sapiens
  • sample-icon 4 Downloadable Samples
  • Technology Badge Icon Affymetrix Human Genome U133 Plus 2.0 Array (hgu133plus2)

Description

In order to find the difference between human lung tissue-derived fibroblasts and human vascular adventitial fibroblasts for enhancing tumor formation ablity of human lung adenocarcinoma cell line A549, we found that human vascular adventitial fibroblasts enhance A549 tumor formation in vivo compared to human lung tissue-derived fibroblasts. To find the responsible genes for this phenomena, we used microarray analysis to find the expression difference between lung tissue-derived fibroblasts and vascular adventitial fibroblas

Publication Title

Overall aiEMT in surgical samples of esophageal cancer patients
  • organism-icon Homo sapiens
  • sample-icon 96 Downloadable Samples
  • Technology Badge Icon Affymetrix Human Genome U95A Array (hgu95a)

Description

Surgical samples have long been used as important subjects for cancer research. In accordance with an increase of neoadjuvant therapy, biopsy samples have recently become imperative for cancer transcriptome. On the other hand, both biopsy and surgical samples are available for expression profiling for predicting clinical outcome by adjuvant therapy; however, it is still unclear whether surgical sample expression profiles are useful for the prediction by the use of biopsy samples because little has been done about comparative gene expression profiling between the two kinds of samples.

The phosphorylated prodrug FTY720 is a histone deacetylase Q15 inhibitor that reactivates ER expression and enhances hormonal therapy for breast cancer
  • organism-icon Homo sapiens
  • sample-icon 14 Downloadable Samples
  • Technology Badge Icon Affymetrix Human Genome U133A 2.0 Array (hgu133a2)

Description

Nuclear FTY720-P is a potent inhibitor of class I histone deacetylases (HDACs) that enhances histone acetylations and regulates expression of a restricted set of genes independently of its known effects on canonical signaling through sphingosine-1-phosphate (S1P) receptors. We found that FTY720 is phosphorylated in Era-negative breast cancer cells by nuclear sphingosine kinase 2 and accumulates these cells.
