Description

This study was designed to compare the global gene expression change induced by the circulating, prodomain bound forms of BMP9 and BMP10 (pro-BMP9 and pro-BMP10) in human pulmonary arterial endothelial cells (PAECs). This is different from many previous studies which used the growth factor domain of BMP9 and/or BMP10.

The transcriptional response of Arabidopsis thaliana cell suspensions following treatment with the stress hormone methyl jasmonate (MeJA) was monitored over time 16 hours after subcultivation. Three time points were included: 30 minutes, 2 hours and 6 hours after elicitation with 50µm MeJA or DMSO as a control.

Description

The majority of sporadic colorectal cancer cases are initiated by mutations in the APC tumor suppressor gene leading to constitutive activation of the Wnt/b-catenin signaling pathway and adenoma formation. Several pre-clinical models carrying germline mutations in the endogenous mouse Apc tumor supressor gene have been generated and their phenotype characterized. The predisposition of these mouse models to multiple intestinal adenomas closely resembles the FAP phenotype at the molecular, cellular and phenotypic level and may prove valuable to elucidate the molecular and cellular mechanisms underlying colorectal tumorigenesis. The goal of this study is to establish an expression signature characteristic of intestinal tumors characterized by the inactivation of Apc.

Description

Ezh2 epigenetically suppresses developmentally-regulated genes. Ezh2 is highly expressed during development, including in the lung. We knocked out Ezh2 in the developing lung epithelium using a Shh-cre driver which is active in foregut endoderm prior to lung morphogenesis. Many developmentally regulated genes became derepressed in the mutant lungs, leading to defects in lung development.

Description

Transformation of the Arabidopsis ATHB17 gene into maize results in the expression of a truncated protein (smaller by 113 amino acids) that functions as a dominant-negative regulator that can modify activity of endogenous maize HD-Zip II transcription factors. This RNASeq experiment indicates that the observed effects of ATHB17d113 on the maize ear inflorescence and ear transcriptome are very small. Expression of ATHB17delta113 protein in maize leads to changes in ear growth resulting in increased ear size at early reproductive stages and, potentially increased sink size. Overall design: Two ATHB17delta113 expressing events (Event 1 and Event 2) were compared to control plants (herein referred to as WT) in the context of Monsanto Elite Maize hybrid line NN6306. Three bioreps of both Ear inflorescence and Ear tissues were sampled for the WT and each of the two transgenic events.
