Young and old HSCs from WT and Lnk-/- mice
  • organism-icon Mus musculus
  • sample-icon 14 Downloadable Samples
  • Technology Badge Icon Affymetrix Mouse Gene 1.0 ST Array (mogene10st)

Description

The adaptor protein Lnk is an important negative regulator of HSC homeostasis and self-renewal. This study aims to investigate the role of Lnk in HSC aging. Here we performed expression profiling of bone marrow CD150+CD48-LSK LT-HSCs from young and old WT and Lnk-/- mice. Results identify select Lnk-mediated pathways with potential involvement in HSC self-renewal and aging.

Publication Title

Lnk deficiency partially mitigates hematopoietic stem cell aging.

Expression data from mouse intestine: C57Bl/6 MTHFR+/- vs BALB/c MTHFR+/-
  • organism-icon Mus musculus
  • sample-icon 8 Downloadable Samples
  • Technology Badge Icon Affymetrix Mouse Gene 1.0 ST Array (mogene10st)

Description

Previous studies in our laboratory have shown that low folate diet (control diet with 2mg folate/kg, low folate diet with 0.3mg folate/kg) can induce intestinal tumors in BALB/c mice. In addition, we reported that C57Bl/6J mice did not form tumors under the same conditions.

Publication Title

Differential gene expression and methylation in the retinoid/PPARA pathway and of tumor suppressors may modify intestinal tumorigenesis induced by low folate in mice.

Description

With particular emphasis on interactions between cholesterol homeostasis and drug metabolism we investigate the transcriptome of human primary hepatocytes treated by two commonly prescribed cholesterol lowering drugs atorvastatin and rosuvastatin and by rifampicin that serves as an outgroup as well as a model substance for induction of nuclear receptor PXR.

The gene expression analysis of paracrine/autocrine factors in patients with spermatogenetic failure compared to normal spermatogenesis
  • organism-icon Homo sapiens
  • sample-icon 20 Downloadable Samples
  • Technology Badge Icon Affymetrix Human Gene 1.0 ST Array (hugene10st)

Description

The role of paracrine/autocrine factors in inflammation, immune response and tumor development is well established. There is also an evidence that some of the cytokines there involved may participate in the regulation of the male gonads. However, their involvement in pathogenesis of male infertility has not been well defined yet. The aim of the present study was to examine the expression levels of IL-1 family members, IL-6, IL-10, TNF family, SCF and c-kit in infertile patients with idiopathic non-obstructive azoospermia (NOA) compared to men with normal spermatogenesis

Compare HSCs between WT and Merit40-/- mice
  • organism-icon Mus musculus
  • sample-icon 6 Downloadable Samples
  • Technology Badge Icon Affymetrix Mouse Gene 2.0 ST Array (mogene20st)

Description

The adaptor protein MERIT40 is a core subunit of deubiquitinating (DUB) complexes that specifically cleave Lysine63-polyubiquitin chains. We found that MERIT40 is an important negative regulator of hematopoietic stem cell (HSC) homeostasis, quiescence and self-renewal. This study aims to investigate the molecular mechanism by which MERIT40 regulates HSC expansion and cell cycle. We performed expression profiling of bone marrow CD150+CD48-LSK LT-HSCs from WT and Merit40-/- mice. Results identify select MERIT40-mediated pathways with potential involvement in HSC cell cycle regulation.

Publication Title

MERIT40 deficiency expands hematopoietic stem cell pools by regulating thrombopoietin receptor signaling.
