Transcription profiling by array of Arabidopsis cell suspensions after treatment with methyl jasmonate
 • organism-icon Arabidopsis thaliana
 • sample-icon 14 Downloadable Samples
 • Technology Badge Icon Affymetrix Arabidopsis ATH1 Genome Array (ath1121501)

Description

The transcriptional response of Arabidopsis thaliana cell suspensions following treatment with the stress hormone methyl jasmonate (MeJA) was monitored over time 16 hours after subcultivation. Three time points were included: 30 minutes, 2 hours and 6 hours after elicitation with 50µm MeJA or DMSO as a control.

Publication Title

Mapping methyl jasmonate-mediated transcriptional reprogramming of metabolism and cell cycle progression in cultured Arabidopsis cells.

Global gene expression in Abp57-overexpressing transgenic rice
 • organism-icon Oryza sativa indica group
 • sample-icon 6 Downloadable Samples
 • Technology Badge Icon Affymetrix Rice (Chinese Build) Gene 1.0 ST Array (rcngene10st)

Description

An auxin-binding protein (Abp57) was previously isolated from rice and known to activate plasma membrane proton ATPase. The Abp57 function was characterised by overexpression in the rice and Arabidopsis. The transgene expression was driven by constitutive promoter, CaMV35S. Results from physiological experiments showed that the transgenic lines were tolerant to drought and salinity stress.

Publication Title

Microarray dataset of transgenic rice overexpressing Abp57.

A Systems Approach to Understanding Human Rhinovirus and Influenza Virus Infection
 • organism-icon Homo sapiens
 • sample-icon 186 Downloadable Samples
 • Technology Badge Icon Affymetrix Human Genome U219 Array (hgu219)

Description

Human rhinovirus and influenza virus infections of the upper airway lead to colds and the flu and can trigger exacerbations of lower airway diseases including asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. Despite modest advances in the diagnosis and treatment of infections by these viruses, novel diagnostic and therapeutic targets are still needed to differentiate between the cold and the flu, since the clinical course of influenza can be severe while that of rhinovirus is usually more mild.

A systems approach to understanding human rhinovirus and influenza virus infection.
